The economic transformations that have occurred in the last decades have changed the urban-regional dynamics of large urban agglomerations since the spread of productive activities and the creation or strengthening of daily and permanent population flows. In this article, we analyze the impacts of productive restructuring on the spatial mobility of the population in Espírito Santo, in order to understand how these changes are shaping new territorial arrangements. We used the microdata from the Brazilian Demographic Census of 2000 and 2010 to analyze changes in migration and in the workforce. Additionally we developed a binary logistic model to measure its effects. The results show that the spread of productive activities to the metropolitan north coastal has forged new population flows, indicating greater socio-spatial integration and new urban and regional processes.
