Mr. Donoso presents a case study base don Missio’s experience in organizational development in the Northern area of the Metropolitan Area of Santiago. Missio is a Catholic Church organization acting at the lowest income levels of population in the city in two different ways: on the one hand, by backing up reivindicative actions of the population through assistance to pobladores organizations; on the other, by acting as their counselors in maximizing the output achieved with their own scarce resources. The conclusion attained is that in order to improve the habitat a set of different complementary actions are needed and, most important of all, the generation of income through productive employment.
